Backyard Easter Egg Hunt Ideas

The Easter holiday is right around the corner on April 4th which means its high time to get your backyard ready to host festivities and to hide eggs for the hunt. At Blue Water Pool Chemical Company, we truly treasure a beautiful outdoor environment conducive to play. And as one of the Valley of the Sun’s leading pool servicing companies, we are dedicated to making life as enjoyable as possible.

This spring season, here are a few of our favorite ways to do just that around Easter.

Relay Egg Race
This one reframes a traditional egg hunt to include teamwork. Divide up your family and create rules that involve a relay style of collecting eggs. It not only encourages interactions and communications, it’s a fun way to race.

A Lunch Hunt
Instead of traditional candy, opt for snack-style lunch items in eggs for those without a sweet tooth. Consider savory crackers and dried fruits to pair with a cheese and charcuterie board. Who said the hunt had to only be for kids?

Scavenger Hunt – Family Style
This approach involves a bit more planning but is a great way to get the family together on a beautiful spring day. Create a scavenger hunt by planting clues in eggs that you must find in order.

Egg Toss
A modern take on a water balloon toss, this one is a hit with the kiddos. Pair up into partners and each group is allotted an uncooked egg to toss back in forth while increasing the distance between one another.

Dye Party
How fun is it to dye easter eggs? Even better when serving sandwiches including egg salad. Set aside a few to keep for dying together while the rest can be made into either deviled eggs or another quick snack.

Spending a day poolside enjoying the sun and fresh air sounds like a delightful way to celebrate the arrival of spring!
